Preparing a presence for the big time.
Justin Rivers is a country music singer/songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee who was slated to appear on NBC’s The Voice and needed a web presence for fans and viewers to visit once the show aired. We had a lot to do and a short time to get there, but by pooling our resources and working some late nights we were able to quickly provide him with a fleshed-out identity website.
Quick turnaround was crucial for this site so initial planning turned into our assisting and editing a photo/video shoot in Nashville. The images and footage would populate the splash page for the site. Despite the time constraint, we were still committed to a unique site that reflected Justin’s personality and his music. We created custom graphics for all the social media links and, most importantly, kept the content true to Justin’s music and his fans.
We produced a total of three videos for Justin Rivers, two are featured on his website and a third serves as an electronic press kit (EPK) for self-promotion. Our behind-the-scenes footage filmed during Justin’s Nashville photo shoot offered a great way for fans to connect with him on a more individual level, while the EPK provided a more extensive, personal story on his journey into country music. While on location in Nashville, we lent a hand in the shooting of an official music video for Justin’s cover of the Rhianna song, “Stay.” We loved that these videos showcase Justin’s professional career, but also make him accessible to fans.
The Big Day
The site was launched alongside Justin’s appearance on The Voice, and that’s when our quick planning and hard work really paid off. The site was immediately flooded with thousands of people who wanted to connect with Justin, learn more about his music and watch his videos. Ecommerce and social media promotion enhanced fans’ experience and bolstered the sweep of Justin’s exposure. This was one country music story with a happy ending.
