Hitcents Goes to Comic Con 2013
Hitcents attended the 2013 International Comic Convention in sunny San Diego this past weekend. We attended to promote our newest game Battlepillars, coming this fall, at the Wired Café in the OMNI hotel . The Wired Café was an invite only, VIP lounge set up for press, celebrities and special guests to take a break from the Comic Con madness and check out some cool gadgets and activities.
We set up demos of Battlepillars and Draw a Stickman Epic for guests to play during their stay in the café. We had really positive responses from the attendees, and they are looking forward to the launch of Battlepillars.
During the week we also hired Obama impersonator Reggie Brown to do some promotion downtown. We took to the streets of the Gaslamp District and walked around, complete with four secret service security officers. The crowd’s responses were overwhelming. Everyone really enjoyed getting photos with him and hearing his speeches. He was interviewed multiple times and stopped along the route to pose for photos and answer questions.
It was a very successful weekend to get the name Battlepillars out there and give them a taste of the gameplay. We hope to do more events and promotion in the future to show what a unique and entertaining game we have coming soon.
