The World (Universe?) of Social Media!!

January 27, 2015 |

Happy New Year, and welcome to 2015!  Social media is now a global phenomenon.  The world is moving fast.  New technologies and devices are coming out quicker than you can accept a friend request.  Got the latest iPhone?  iPad?  The newest Droid?  Have you heard about the Apple Watch?  Do you have a Kindle, GoPro, or Fitbit?  It's all great stuff and incredibly innovative.  WE MUST HAVE IT ALL!  You can go purchase every single one of these cool gadgets, but here's the catch: if you are not on some type of social media at this point, then you might as well be using a rotary phone and a VCR because you are officially out of the loop.

Social media has changed everything.  It gives us access to everything we could ever want to see or know.  We can reconnect with old friends, see photos, watch videos, share our own photos and videos, post our random daily thoughts, comment on other people's random daily thoughts, check-in at Starbucks, read blogs, get the news the MOMENT it happens, follow your favorite celebrity tweets, find a job, sell your junk, report a lost dog...you name it.  What would we do without social media at our fingertips 24/7???  Take a couple days off of Facebook, and when you log back in it will feel like you've been on a remote island for a year.  With no WiFi.  I think we can all agree, there are definitely Pros and Cons to this new line of communication.  It's very important to be aware of policies, privacies, and to know your settings, as well as being responsible with what you share with the rest of the planet.  A fact we should all know very well by now...once it's out there, it's never coming back!  But on the flip side, when used appropriately, social media can be an endless amount of fun for personal use.  More importantly, it can be extremely beneficial when used to market your business.

Social media has become a highly effective way to promote our services, keep our followers informed, generate buzz, and get priceless exposure. Literally priceless...because it's free!  Free publicity.  Two words that any business loves to hear.  Two billion people are currently using the internet worldwide.  65 million people are accessing it through their smartphones.  It's really quite amazing, if you think about it.  In our experience, we've had great success in utilizing this resource.  On August 14, 2014, Tom Hanks sent out a tweet announcing the launch of our awesome Hanx Writer App.  He also did a live Q&A session with Apple, via Twitter.  Within a few days, Hanx Writer landed at #1 on the App Store.  This is a perfect example of how impactful social media can be for internet marketing.  It has become an invaluable tool because it allows us to reach a massive audience size in a matter of seconds...something we would never have been able to do otherwise.  Without a doubt, this is an opportunity a business today simply cannot afford to pass up!

There are a multitude of social media sites out there, and each of them encompasses all types of people and groups, as well as all different ages.  Through these platforms, we can showcase our original content combined with our creative services, and bring internet users up to speed with our latest game launches, updates, web development, and also with a profile that explains who we are and what we do.  We understand the importance of staying relevant, as well as generating meaningful discussions and interactions with anyone interested in what we have to offer.  It's exciting to be able to connect with the world in real time and see our products being brought to light!

We are always coming up with new ideas and looking for new ways to show our creativity.  We can't wait to see what we will be capable of in the future.  So follow us, connect with us, share us, retweet us, or give us a friendly "like"!  Whatever your preference!  In the words of Albert Einstein, creativity is contagious, so pass it on!
